I've been planting grasses at regular intervals towards the eastern end of McNeil Road and in the middle.
The acanthus are doing well and look sculptural through the winter when most things look drab The lime green euphorbia is just starting - as is the knotweed Hoping for a good spring and summer - not least on the dry ground under trees at the western end at traffic light junction Litter still thrown from the parked cars - there was even an aluminium beer keg a couple of weeks ago Dog poo is down to a minimum - thanks dog walkers! Sorry for the silence - usual busy stuff. have been planting sedum and alchemila. Also thanks to Martin and Elaine for their cosmos - first ones are just flowing now. Great to have something to plant in the hole where the tree fell.
We are going to dig up some parts of McNeil road that need planting on Sunday 19 June
This coincides with the Camberwell open gardens day. forget me not are doing well.have planted some more irises. will do nasturtiums tomorrow.
good to see lots of planting and thank you. fatsia and all sorts of interesting things. I have been planting periwinkle and some more acanthus.
the litter seems to be bad of late...about a black bin liner a week.usually half that.also true that this the worst time of the year and once things flower properly it gets better. |
